A one of a kind handmade sgian dubh by Highwood, made in rural Perthshire from locally sourced Scottish hardwoods. The handle brings together ash and walnut: the pale, straight grain of the ash plays against the warmer, deeper tone of the walnut, with a brass fitting at the bolster giving the piece a quiet, considered finish. Set on a Wild River Forge blade, hand forged in Scotland.
This is a single, unique piece. No two Highwood sgian dubhs are the same: the natural figuring of each section of wood means every handle looks and feels different, and once this one is gone, it is gone.
Comes with a dark embossed leather sheath and a presentation box.
Overall length: approx. 172mm
Blade length: approx. 90mm
Handle: Ash, walnut and brass
Blade: Wild River Forge, hand forged in Scotland
Handmade in Perthshire, Scotland by Highwood
