If you're not happy with you're purchase return the product to us at 8 Yards, 26 Hardengreen Industrial Estate, Dalkeith, EH22 3NX, following the instructions below, we'll exchange or refund it to the credit or debit card of the person who originally placed and paid for the order. Please see below for product exclusions
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, if you buy online or by phone, your consumer rights entitle you to a full refund if you request one in writing within 7 working days of receipt. This includes any standard delivery charge, but excludes the products listed as exceptions below. 8 Yards will extend this period to 30 days from receipt of your order but excludes the products listed in exceptions below.
Exceptions may apply to orders containing additional items to the item(s) returned. International delivery charges are non refundable unless the item is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose. Additional postage charges such as guaranteed next day are non refundable.

If you're unhappy with your purchase, please let us know. We'd like this to be within 30 days of purchase unless faulty.
If you return your item to one of our shops and you'd like a refund but don't have your receipt, order confirmation or delivery note, we'll give you gift vouchers to the value of the current selling price. Ordinarily if you have your receipt or delivery note we'll refund the original debit, credit or charge card used to purchase
- It's important that any unwanted item, unless faulty, is returned in a re-saleable condition. We expect this to mean that you've kept all original packaging and labels, and that it's undamaged and unused & all returned to us.
- Only In the event of an item being unsuitable for its purpose, or being of a lesser quality than that which is advertised, 8 Yards will be liable for any postage charges incurred. Otherwise, you are liable for all postage charges.
Products we are unable to cancel, refund or exchange
We can't offer refunds or exchanges, unless faulty or not as described, on the following items:
- Products which have been personalised for you, such as stationery or gifts
- Made to order products such as kilts, suits, jackets or made to measure items
- Where a product has been specially ordered for you, unless faulty, we're unable to refund or offer an exchange. We're unable to accept cancelations for these orders, unless within 48 hours of the order being placed. We'll make this clear when you place your order.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please ensure you take the goods to the post office & collect a receipt as proof of delivery.
We will credit your account when we receive the goods and will inform you once we have done so.
